Resources Offered by the TORCH Program

TORCH publishes and distributes a wide array of informational literature. In our workshops, publications, and appearances at events, we offer advice and guidance to young people seeking reproductive health-related information.

Resource Library: TORCH is continually growing a strong resource library, to be available to members of the community at our NARAL Pro-Choice Pennsylvania headquarters. We offer a selection of books, magazines, and independent publications to anyone interested in learning more about a feminist perspective of sexual and reproductive health.

Community Activities: TORCH offers internships and volunteer positions interested and dedicated pro-choice students and young people. We also offer workshop trainings throughout Southeastern PA, in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks county areas.

TORCH offers the following workshops:

Combating Sexual Assault
The first workshop we offer is on combating sexual assault. It is an overview of tactics for combating sexual assault, what to do in the event of a sexual assault, how to be a good ally to a friend who's been assaulted, and more.

Menstrual health
This workshop aims to give people a better understanding of the menstrual cycle. We will aim to destigmatize and demystify the menstrual cycle. We will also educate students on the adverse health, environmental, and societal standpoints associated with tampon use, and give people resources regarding alternative methods of menstrual regulation.

Comprehensive Sex Education
Our comprehensive sex education workshop covers a wide range of sexual health issues. From contraceptives to safer sex practices, we teach young people how to make healthy decisions regarding contraceptive choice. Pregnancy options and resources will be covered, as well.
